ACMP Ohio members gathered at Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris January 8, 2019 to discuss three of the most relevant topics in change management:

- Alignment of OCM, BA and PM roles
- Examination of the sponsor's role

Members across the state met with the board of directors, including three newly elected directors, to discuss how ACMP can provide the most value to you and the work you do. The discussion was an outstanding opportunity for personal engagement between the board and members that provided input to chapter plans and aspirations for the new year.
The 2019 Board met for the first time in a day-long strategy session to map out the vision, mission and operations of our chapter. With high energy and rapid flow of ideas, the board quickly looked to frame up the full 2019 meeting calendar, sequence of events and activities that support our sponsors and members.

On October 17, 2018, the combined membership of CCODN and ACMP Ohio met to try out some techniques for structuring sponsor conversations for maximum success. Deb Stets and Sue Dolloff blended the structure from “Crucial Conversations” with selected habits from “7 Habits of Highly Effective People" to deliver this engaging evening.

New board members Terra Boroff, James Gerhard, and Ron Kibbe joined returning or re-elected members at a day-long operational planning meeting for the 2019-2020 program year.
We welcomed back Barbara Trautlein, PhD, the creator of the CQ®/Change Intelligence® strengths-based assessment of change leader styles in our April meeting. With her characteristic high-energy and fun style, she led us through several exercises to demonstrate our change leader styles. We learned how to best use our strengths without overdoing them. We also had the opportunity to laugh at our styles a bit, all in good fun! Check out the gallery!
We each received a copy of Barbara’s book Change Intelligence: Use the Power of CQ to Lead Change that Sticks and as follow-up to the workshop, Barbara shared links to a variety of resources and research. This was a value-packed event!
Advancing the Field of Change Management in Ohio
Our February event in Columbus was a lively discussion about data analytics and ways for businesses to extract greater meaning and value from their data. An intrepid team of volunteers took on dinner preparation and meal service for Ronald McDonald House in Columbus.
The March meeting brought Patt Hardie who lead an interactive session to help change practitioners help their sponsors and leaders to "Do Change Right." Through an exchange of ideas and challenging activities, Pat shared tools from Business as UnUsual, a practical workshop for leaders.
We enjoyed hosting members and guests in a night of networking and education!
